Comments
Robin Holy stated in the Advocate that he would, if elected, would push for curbside recycling and Environmental issues, has anybody drove by Clay Dr. behind Target where he lives. Its terrible. Broke down trucks, junk all over the place-front and back. City has been out there a few times-and nothing seems to get done to clean up his mess. Lives in some kind of building connected to his garage. Hes destroying the environment.Neighbors do not want anything do with him. He's threaten a few. I was told he had a cat that he loved and it was killed by a car-so he hung it on his fence for everyone to see so cars would slow down, thats love? Now that he made public hes running for city council some one needs to go to his place and interview him and take pics. or put him on the news, but make sure you have a police officer with you.
May 3, 2009 at 10:43 a.m.Here is a question that may provide you with broader understanding in determining if a person’s mental disabilities are a detriment to their leadership.
First some background on me in this area, I once worked for St. Philips College Educational Support Services in San Antonio, while attending college there. Working there I came to learn that around 90% of all Americans suffer from some form of mental illness. Most Americans are unaware that they even have one, because for the most part we simply attribute these handicaps to other things.
How many military service men and women serving in the Armed forces; in positions of leadership are or could be diagnosis with some form of mental disability.
My father served in the Army when he was diagnosis with a mental illness, the Army placed him on medication treatment and put him back in. He eventually was honorably discharged because his condition got worst, but many of his friends with other mental illnesses went on to have long Army careers.
I’m not trying to influence anyone’s opinion, but simply stating, “Our judgments of others is based on our willingness to really understand them”. You don’t have to agree with people to understand them, but see beyond the cliff note level of perception that most of us choose to have.
There is no such thing as a perfect human being just one good enough to do the job, and we would be lucky to even have such a human being.
