  • One question, the Advocate is so pro illegal immigration, has it be bought out by a Mexican National company? Just wondering. As far as the illegal activity, it can be summed up using an old Russian quote, "We will take the United States without a shot being fired". If you have been to Mexico and like the living conditions, well that is what Texas will become. Just head south of Corpus Christi and look at the neighborhoods being built by the illegals. We are even having to change the language just for them. But, you might not get to read this due to the first question. (PS - This is not a race based comment. It is a matter of nationality.)

  • Gabe I commend you for a article written so well. I know you spent countless hours doing this story.

  • This article ignores the fact that we were promised that this would the amnesty to end all amnesties. No more after the 1986 one. Instead, we now have close to 20 million illegal aliens (that 12 million figure from the Census is years old) BECAUSE GOVERNMENT HAS CHOSEN NOT TO ENFORCE THE LAW. Until such time as this Administration PROVES that it can and is enforcing the law, and has done so for years, there is no reason to give yet another amnesty. All amnesty has done is result in MORE illegal immigration, and often of the least educated and least skilled--the every people who are the greatest burden to the U.S. taxpayer and would still be even if legalized. Since the 1986 amnesty, the rate of Hispanics and Hispanic children living in poverty has risen dramatically. Likewise, one country, Mexico, has dominated our LEGAL immigration for the past two decades because the legalized illegal aliens were able to then bring their family members.

  • as said in the article, drawing a line in the sand won't change or stop anything. Mr. Flores keep praying, I will too, God will hear us. Like I have said, my great grandparents were immigrants. And my parents had to drop out or not attend school. but my dad work hard to make sure we got an education. He always has said, "Stand up for what you believe in. Voice your opinion, voice it loud and proud if you have to. Most of all remember that no one is better than you. Have a heart for everyone and help those that need it." I am proud to be of Mexican decent and love the traditions. We are all about family and helping. To my people, we will win the fight.

  • I agree, VA stop being a bleeding heart for those that break the law. The instant the second footstep occurs they are criminals. Why do you support criminals. Do you want them in your place of business.

Can we put up signs along HWY59 VicAd the house for all illegal criminals. You can feed and house them.

Gabe stop the histronics. Great the guy was lucky. All the politicians are playing games. You continually write slanted articles infavor of illigal immigrants.

  • What a load of B.S.

Every illegal alien story that the V.A. tries to make out like a good American immigrant story is a slap to the face of my parents who came here legally.

Good or Bad they are criminals.....

If you excuse the criminals that illegally sneak into our country, then you MUST excuse the criminals that break ALL our other laws.
