An account has been set up at Wells Fargo to help the couple with medical bills. Contributions to the Chad and Chelsea fund can be made at any branch.

A Victoria woman remains in an Odessa hospital after a Saturday wreck.

Chelsea Akin, 25, is listed in critical condition at Medical Center Hospital. Her fiance, Chad Ganaway, was treated for a broken arm and released from the hospital Tuesday.

"We still definitely need prayers," 33-year-old Ganaway said. Doctors have sedated Akin to keep her still, Ganaway said.

"We're just hoping she gets better by the day," Ganaway said.

The Victoria couple was returning from a Thanksgiving holiday with Ganaway's family in Hobbs, N.M.

They were driving on Farm-to-Market Road 11 outside Imperial shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday, according to the Department of Public Safety office in Pecos. Ganaway hit a cow in the road, he said.

Ganaway owns South Texas Elite Gymnastics and Dance in Cuero, and Akin is the dance director there.
