MEET AND GREET
To register for the Meet and Greet with 10 Years, sign up at Pure Fitness and Tanning, 311 East Mockingbird Lane, any time between now and Dec. 30.
It's going to be a happy New Year at Riverside Multiplex on Jan. 2 for music fans. The band 10 Years will perform, along with special guest bands Since October and Down From Up.
10 Years got their start in Tennessee in 1999 and released their first independent album, "Into the Half Moon" in 2001, according to their bio. Since then, the band has gone on to release three more albums and scored several hit singles, including "Wasteland," which helped put them on the map, "Beautiful," and "So Long, Good-Bye."
Opening up for 10 Years is Since October, a heavy rock band hailing from Florida that recently released their first studio album, "This Is My Heart" and Down From Up, another alternative rock band hailing from Tennessee.
In addition to the concert, 10 fans will get the chance to meet the members of 10 Years during a pre-concert Meet and Greet, Riverside owner Homer Escalante said.
Those wanting to register for the Meet and Greet can do so at Pure Fitness & Tanning in Victoria. On Dec. 30, 10 names will be drawn and those winners and a guest each will get to meet the band, Escalante said.
Advance tickets to the concert are $17.50 and available at Pure Fitness & Tanning in Victoria, by calling 361-570-7600 or online at www.riversideevents.com. Tickets at the door are $25.
