No arrests have been made regarding a New Year's Day shooting that sent one man to the hospital, said Detective Zachary Caldwell with the Victoria Police Department.

A man, age not available, was shot in the leg at about noon Thursday in the 3000 block of Wildwood Street.

Officers tracked a beige Chevrolet Impala that witnesses said the shooter drove to a home on Oaklawn Street and called in SWAT team members to locate the suspect.

After a stand off that lasted several hours Thursday, the suspect had yet to be found.

Officers will continue investigating the incident, Caldwell said.

"We're still working on it," he said.
