Santiago Torres, 13, visiting from New York, got a taste of Texas-life Christmas morning when he shot an 8-point buck at 75 yards with a .308 during his very first hunting trip.

He was hunting on the RiverCreek Ranch in Victoria County with Dr. Paul Mondolfi.
