One woman was transported to Citizens Medical Center on Tuesday after an 18-wheeler truck slammed into the center of a camper trailer in Victoria.
The woman was a passenger in a pick-up truck towing the camper, said Department of Public Safety Trooper Melvin Harp, who was on the scene of the accident. The truck's driver, her husband, had stopped at Stubbs School Road on Spur 91 at around 3:30 p.m.
When he steered the pick-up and camper back onto 91, an 18-wheeler, going north, rammed into the camper.
The drivers of the 18-wheeler and the pick-up were not injured. The woman sustained non-life threatening injuries.

glad to hear all are ok. this interchange is poorly designed. The big bus wreck happened here too.
The ramps are narrow. There are places with no shoulder and no lights at night! I think the north bound ramp onto 59 is the only NON-LIT ramp between Corpus and Houston. Yes I made it a point to check. Drive the road and see.
There is a ton of trailer commerce going on plus oilfield trucks, etc and a little to no error of choice on corrective actions.
