Editor, the Advocate:
I would just like to share my thoughts about the issue of bringing back the two high schools.
Personally, I think this is not a good idea. We should just have the Vipers only because that is what everyone is used to already, and if they want to change it back to the Raiders, too, then they should've never changed it in the first place.
When they build the two high schools, they need to keep the Memorial Vipers and maybe just make up a new mascot for the school they're going to build.
There is going to be a lot of controversy concerning the two different mascots, especially if the Raiders come back. I understand that just having one high school in Victoria makes Memorial crowded and there is need for having two high schools again, but why couldn't they have thought about that when they decided to consolidate the two schools.
I'm just glad that I am now a senior, and I will not have to deal with the separation of the Memorial Vipers.

Spoken like a true youngster who has a lot to learn about the world. The fact is that the majority of the town wants things to go back to the way they were. The majority of people who live in Victoria graduated from Victoria High or Stroman and want to see their almamaters restored. It doesn't matter if the people are used to MHS or not, it should not have been done in the first place. This is the school boards chance to correct a wrong that was done eight years ago. I know that this sounds like a broken record, but it's true. The writer of this letter needs to understand that the history of this city is more important than "what you're used to." I guarantee that Stroman and Victoria High will be back.
