Hallettsville Invitational Basketball Tournament Monday, Dec. 29 and Tuesday, Dec. 30. Brahmas win Halletsville Invitational basketball tournament on Tuesday with a 98-49 victory over Dime Box. Hallettsville’s Dante Haynes was the MVP for the tournament. Haynes scored 31 points against Dime Box. Brahmas blowout Tigers The Hallettsville Brahmas blew away the Tidehaven Tigers 108-45 on Tuesday to stay unbeaten in the tournament. Hallettsville led at the half 56-26 and reached the century mark in the second half as they scored 52 points. Dante Haynes led the Brahmas in scoring with 35 points while Demetri Tsika led Tidehaven with 20 points. Brahmas stampede Sharks The Hallettsville Brahmas stomped the Palacios Sharks 80-25 on Monday to open the tournament. The Brahmas held a commanding 51-8 lead at the half and out scored Palacios in the second half 29-17 for the win. Adam Garcia led the Sharks in scoring with nine points while Dante Haynes led the Brahmas with 28 points.
