Ladycats roar past Lady Exporters The Bay City Ladycats roared past the Brazosport Lady Exporters 60-32 on Monday, Dec. 29, at the Brazosport ISD Holiday Classic. Bay City head coach Sherby Wilkerson won her 399th game with 127 losses. The Ladycats improved to 13-6 for the season and 1-1 at the tournament. Bay City led at the half 37-14 and outscored its opponent in the second half 23-18 for the win. Junior Devan Price led the Ladycats in scoring with four three-pointers and 18 points followed by Andrea Mayberry with 14 points, four steals and four assists. Alyssa Dibbern led the team in rebounds with five offensive and 11 defensive rebounds. She also scored six points and had three assists. Lady Bulldogs topple Ladycats The Hitchcock Lady Bulldogs handed the Bay City Ladycats their first loss in the Brazosport Holiday Classic on Monday, Dec. 29. Hitchcock opened the tournament with a 61-56 victory over Bay City. The Ladycats led at the half 29-28 but the Lady Bulldogs out scored Bay City 33-28 in the second half for the win. Dibbern, Hailey Appling and Endaca Stuart led Bay City in scoring with 12 points. Dibbern led the Ladycats in rebounds with 12 followed by Appling with seven rebounds. Devan Price scored nine points and had four steals and six assists.
