Editor, the Advocate:
The two greatest moral challenges to our society today are pornography, which, if you are married is really adultery, and contraception - why do women take the birth control pill?
If a hormonal birth control (pill, patch, IUD, shot) is taken before a girl's first pregnancy, there is a 44 percent increased risk of her getting breast cancer (Kahlenborn, "Breast Cancer, its Link to Abortion and the Birth Control Pill").
HBC increases the risk of blood clots to the lungs (Poulter, "Risk of fatal pulmonary embolism with oral contraception").
HBC has a significant increase of uterine cervix cancer. (Smith, Cervical cancer and the use of hormonal contraceptives").
HBC increases risk of liver tumors (Giannitrapani, "Sex Hormones and Risk of Liver Tumors").
HBC causes secret abortions (Chowdhury, "Escape Ovulation in Women Due to the Low Dose Oral Contraceptive Pills").
HBC has had a disastrous effect on marriage and society. The huge increase in divorce, premarital sex, adultery, abortion and out-of-wedlock pregnancy is destroying our nation.
Fifty-four percent of women who had an abortion were using birth control the month before (Jones, "Contraceptive Use Among U.S. Women Having Abortions in 2000-2001").
Would you fly on an airline that had a 46-percent success rate?
Instead, there is Natural Family Planning (NFP); it has a 99.5 percent success rate (Journal of Reproductive Medicine, 1998; 43:495-502").
NFP cost nothing, builds strong marriages (no divorce), has no bad side effects and has a 76 percent success rate in helping couples to achieve a pregnancy (Ibid).
HBCs are anti-life; they put poison in the womb; anti-God, the pill, is in charge, not God; anti-health: it treats a healthy organ as bad; and anti-women: it exploits women.
This last reporting year, 40,954 women died from breast cancer (Centers for Disease Control, 2004). Two hundred, eleven thousand, two hundred and forty women were diagnosed with breast cancer (ACS).
Now, if all of this is true, why are there more than 10 million women on the pill and only 1 percent practicing Natural Family Planning?
The Candlelight March for Life will be on Jan. 22 starting at Holy Family Catholic Church on Mallette Drive at 7 p.m. and going to Grace Lutheran Church on Zac Lentz Parkway. Will you stand up for the rights of the unborn babies?

LAWL @ VBB. Good times...
I really do not understand how he can equate viewing porn with adultery. And does it have to be hardcore or can be Cinemax in the evening?
I wonder how he would explain a website like http://christiannymphos.org/ (real website). I also wonder what he would say about these events in the bible. lol
January 13, 2009 at 11:22 a.m.I was relaxed;just rambling...lol
January 12, 2009 at 5:52 p.m.Have a good one.

January 12, 2009 at 5:42 p.m.Didn't mean to insult, just saying that you will not waiver as those on the far right..He is the first one to come to mind..Sorry
I know what the Freedom (blue-dog)Democrats are about...They are conservative democrats from Southern states that are a torn in Pelosi's side.
LOLBigJ
January 12, 2009 at 5:25 p.m.You and Redrage are not moderates..... IMO.
Moderates aren't as opinionated.
Example: on gay-marriage ,you are as far right wing as Dr. James Dobson and on the same subject RR is as left wing as Rachel Maddow on this subject......Moderates walk away without having to give their opinion...I might be wrong but that's my take.
RR is right if you disagree with the fringe right ,you will be labeled a dreaded liberal ;the cause of all of America's ills.
i looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove porn, but i cant watch it bc then i'll go to hell, but it's soooooooooooooooooo good.
January 10, 2009 at 6:21 p.m.Tasin<<< who writes this guy's stuff anyway??
January 10, 2009 at 3:16 p.m.so which is it, the pill is going to ruin America ? a working woman is going to ruin America ? or gays / lesbians are going to be the down fall of America ?
as for me, im going with incompetent leadership in the business world. maybe they're all on the pill, with working moms and gay dads ?
January 10, 2009 at 2:13 p.m.Hey next week, can we get back to claiming that gay marriage is ruining families? Or should we go back to claiming "a career wife/mother is ruining families"?
The fact is, natural family planning doesn't work for all families or all women. They could easily get pregnant believing they are several days away from being able to conceive and be wrong. There are too many factors that can interfere with it working for all women.
Not everyone has the financial resources to joyfully welcome a new baby every couple of years. Nor do they want to. Why is that so hard for some people to understand?
Go fight another battle, Tasin. There are plenty of unwanted children in foster care that need homes.
January 10, 2009 at 1:32 p.m.Dear Paul
January 10, 2009 at 1:22 a.m.Thank you for caring enough for others to tell the truth. It takes courage to do so. After reading the many lued and angry coments I hope the Lord raises up others to help. Thank you Victoria Advocate you have my apreciation.
BIGJ - "I wish the Victoria Advocate would ban WM Paul Tasin for at least one year or at least six months. Tasin has too much time on his hands."
Liberals don't care what you say as long as you agree with them. Say, how about the Vicad just bans you?
January 9, 2009 at 11:37 p.m.Some people feel that viewing porn inspires lust. Lusting after someone other than your spouse is in their mind adultery.
January 9, 2009 at 11:03 p.m.Only if Debbie from Dallas fame shows up..LMAO
January 9, 2009 at 6:26 p.m.VBB..."Is it an orgy?" ROTFLMAO That's one of the funniest responses I've ever read here. Thank you!
January 9, 2009 at 5:27 p.m.I really wanted to hear more about the porn!!! What if a couple views porn together? Is it considered an orgy?
January 9, 2009 at 5:11 p.m.Tasin seems to be the kind of guy that thinks if you don't have the same beliefs as his church you are going to hell. While he is so concerned over the rights of the unborn I wonder how he feels about criminal rights--- the death penalty.
January 9, 2009 at 5:03 p.m.You mean like nutjobs that can't spell or write a sensible sentence?
January 9, 2009 at 3:49 p.m.Oh, good. You're back and telling women -- again -- that they shouldn't take the pill. Keep'em barefoot and pregnant, Paul. That's the ticket. But, what's this about porn? You tease us with it being the same as adultery, but then start ranting about birth control again. In your world, looking at pictures might be the same as adultery, but in the real world, it's quite different.
January 9, 2009 at 11:52 a.m.Did you write this letter yourself, or did you get help while playing dominos down at the KC Hall.
