The St. Joseph Lady Flyers outscored San Antonio Christian 9-5 in overtime Friday night to capture a 49-45 TAPPS District 3-4A basketball win at the St. Joseph gym.

The Lions tied the game with a basket with .74 seconds left in the fourth quarter and took a 42-40 lead in overtime. But the Lady Flyers (18-8, 4-0) rallied and iced the game with three free throws by Victoria Sanchez and two each by Brooke Blanton and Cassandra Schindler.

Brianna Shimek scored 16 points and Schindler had 13 for St. Joseph.
