Editor, the Advocate:
We thank everyone who participated in the Lack's 20th Annual Trim-A-Tree Charity contest. Through the generous donations of canned goods towards our Gabriel Project Christmas Tree, our ministry took first place in the contest at the Lacks store located at 5802 N. Navarro.
The $200 prize money will assist our ministry in reaching out to women who feel they are faced with a crisis pregnancy and continuing to protect the unborn.
We also especially thank the Catholic War Veterans and the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary of St. John's Post 1269 for selecting our ministry as the recipient of their canned goods.
Lacks donated all canned goods collected for the Charity Contest to our local food bank. Thank you Lacks for sponsoring the Trim-A-Tree Charity contest, we look forward to participating next year!
