Police have identified the man involved in a single vehicle fatality late Saturday to be Guadalupe Rodriguez.

The 48-year-old Victoria man lost control of his 1988 white pickup around 10 p.m. Saturday as he was traveling Ben Jordan Street near Lone Tree Road. The pickup left the roadway and traveled between 100 and 150 feet into a field where it struck a metal utility pole, said Lt. Jason Cross, a patrol officer with the Victoria Police Department. Rodriguez was not wearing a seat belt.
