I think a Web site rating system would be useless. Parents don't monitor the shows their kids watch on TV or the video games that they play now. Why would they suddenly become involved enough to keep tabs on Web sites if the sites were rated? Many parents today are too content to let others raise their kids for them. That is how we got boomerang kids and kids who don't reach adulthood until they reach 30.

Excuse me, but the Longhorns had every right to be whining. They deserved more than they got playing in the BCS championship game. So in regards to Mr. Flores letter to the editor, his last line is, "Go Oklahoma Sooners." I'd like to word that a little different for him, "Go to Oklahoma sooner and stay."

The state vehicle should be a Ford pickup. Farmers and ranchers and people in business have used Ford trucks for years and years.

I am calling to speak out about the DWI checkpoint. I think that I speak for many of the parents - those of us who have children on the road driving. Anything that helps save their lives or anyone's life is worth any amount of money or inconvenience that it may cost any of us.

I am a pioneer stalk of the community, and I am in my middle 70s. My comment for the restaurant: What about Cracker Barrel?

It is a very famous restaurant; it has great homemade food, just like our parents' we were all brought up on, and the atmosphere is great.

I would like to see a Cracker Barrel restaurant come.

It not only has fantastic food, but it has a gift shop that is very unique.

It has some of the best food, and you can walk into the gift shop and buy a gift for someone.

I would like to see a plate lunch restaurant done, like Luby's, where you could go in and eat more vegetables. Most of theses places in town have nothing but meat and potatoes. A place like Luby's would be nice.
