Editor, the Advocate:

I would like to thank the many businesses and individuals that made donations for the 2008 Tree of Angels Ceremony, reception, silent auction and gifts for the victims' children. Your generosity helped make the Tree of Angels a memorable event for families, friends, supporters of violent crime victims and the community.

I would like to acknowledge the following for their participation in the program: First Baptist Church Praise Team, Rachel Munoz, Steve Tyler, Victoria DA's office, Tommy Williamson, Boy Scout Troop 397, Linda Brush, County Judge Michael Pfeifer, Mayor Jack Whitlow, Judges Nancy Pomykal, Stephen Williams and Alex Hernandez; Shannon Salyer, Calhoun County District Attorney's office; Gene Stewart, Texas Department of Criminal Justice; Sheriffs O'Conner and Browning, Police Chiefs Ure, Steward and Amador and Law Enforcement officers and first responders from Calhoun, Jackson and Victoria Counties.
