Generals add pitcher, catcher to roster

The Victoria Generals have added two players to their roster.

Trevor Lundgrin, a left-handed pitcher who will be a freshman at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colo., and Dave Woods, a catcher from Crichton College, an NAIA school in Memphis, Tenn., will join the Generals for their inaugural season in the Texas Collegiate League.

Woods played at Meridian Community College in Mississippi where he was a member of the 2006 MACJC championship team. He signed with Alabama after his sophomore season, but suffered an injury to his throwing hand, which led him to Crichton.

The Generals open the season June 5 at Kilgore and will play their first home game at Riverside Stadium on June 11.
