CORPUS CHRISTI - The Memorial Lady Vipers overcame a 19-point halftime deficit Friday to turn back the Corpus Christi King Lady Mustangs 73-67 in a District 27-5A girls basketball game.

The Lady vipers fell behind 37-18 in the first half, before bouncing back to outscore the Lady Mustangs 55-30 in the final 16 minutes.

The Lady vipers improved to 18-9 on the season and 4-3 in district with the win, while King fell to 3-4 in district.

Krysta Martinez paced the Lady Vipers with 17 points, while Amber Flowers added 16, Kaelynn Reyes 13 and Breanna Jones 11.
