The city of Victoria will close Anthony Road between Morris Avenue and Lone Tree Road beginning Monday for about three weeks.

Concrete will be poured at the new elementary school entrance on Anthony Road and the asphalt between Morris Avenue and Lone Tree Road will be reclaimed and replaced.

This traffic restriction will remain in effect for about three weeks, weather permitting. Drivers should use alternate routes to get around the work zone if possible.

All businesses and homes on Anthony Road and in Lone Tree Acres will remain accessible via alternate routes. When this section is complete, the contractor will begin phase two which will reclaim and rebuild Anthony Road from Morris Avenue to Rio Grande Street

This is part of the 2007-08 Reclaim and Overlay Project, a $2,518,000 rebuild project contracted with Brannan Paving Co. of Victoria.
