The Victoria Cobras let a halftime lead slip away Saturday and fell to Conroe CYA 55-41 in the seventh-place game of the 10th annual Victoria Invitational Home School basketball tournament.

The Cobras held a 29-24 halftime lead, but managed just 12 points in the second half.

Ethan Simcik paced the Cobras' offense with 17 points, while Danny Lindon add seven and Landry Rose six.

The HCYA Warriors came away with the team title after defeating San Marcos Home School 61-56 in the title game.

The CHSA Wolverines captured third place in the tournament with a 49-48 win over the Austin Royals, while North Houston SATCH Blue took the consolation title with a 75-60 decision over the TCA Warriors. CHSA downed the HOPE Patriots 64-41 in earlier action.

In the girls bracket, SATCH captured the title with a 70-61 win over Austin Royal.

CHSA won third place with a 60-37 win over the Victoria Cobras, while San Marcos Home School picked up the consolation title with a 45-35 win over the HOPE Patriots.
