YOAKUM - The victims of violence here during the weekend are recovering from their wounds.
Albert Colango Garza, 29, of Yoakum, was taken by Citizens Air Medical to University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin after being shot four times with a small caliber handgun Saturday night on the 600 block of Irvine Street.
A hospital spokesperson on Tuesday said Garza is not in the hospital's computer system and has either been treated and released or the patient has requested anonymity.
Yoakum Police Department Chief Arthur Rogers said to his knowledge, Garza survived the shooting and is recovering at the hospital.
Herman Rosales Jr., charged with attempted murder in the shooting, posted $100,000 bail Tuesday morning.
Ronnie (Rene) Dominguez, 44, of Yoakum, who was cut on the face and back Sunday night, was listed in stable condition at Citizens Medical Center in Victoria.
Jose Jimenez, 29, of Victoria, posted $5,000 bail Tuesday morning on a felony charge of evading arrest. Jimenez fled the scene in the 200 block of Hope Street, but has not been charged with the stabbing.
Both cases are still under investigation and no motive has yet been established in either incident, said police investigator Lee Campbell.
