Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream is not complete until all, and that is the key word "all," Americans work together and strip off prejudice and brown nosing.

Although Obama's election is inspiring, Martin Luther King's dream will become a reality when we can all look at each other eye to eye without one race thinking inferiority, the other not thinking superiority in every possible area of brotherhood.
Bill
Woodsboro
I would like Mr. Bill of Woodsboro to see something negative about red light cameras. I recently received a ticket for $75 from a city to which I have never been. The problem was that the other vehicle had a trailer hitch obscuring the third character (on the licence plate); his J became my L. After five weeks spent in frustrating telephone calls and faxes, I was able to resolve the problem. But I wanted Mr. Bill to know.

No, Dr. King's dream of full equality will not be realized as long as Barack Obama condones the killings of the tiny innocents by either partial or complete abortion performed by physicians who choose not to abide by the Hippocratic Oath to do no harm. Harm has now led to killings. Partial abortion is a heinous procedure, as it kills a living baby.

I have children in the Bloomington High School.
How can we get Bloomington to consolidate with Victoria schools?
We need help.
With two new high schools, they probably need our kids as well.

Although I did not vote for Barack Obama, I do pledge to give him the same respect and support as if I had.
He is our president, and I believe it to be a giant step in the right direction to reaching Martin Luther King's dream.

Has everyone forgotten that Obama is half white.
He is not full-blooded African-American.

Everyone knows that "W" is the first letter in worst. Well, the worst is over. Mr. Bush can go peacefully to Crawford to cut brush. Hallelujah! Let freedom reign.

I think the media coverage of Barack Obama has been overdone because it was supposed to be who was best for this country, but it has turned into because he is black. I don't agree with the coverage in the Victoria paper. I think that we could have picked a better person.

Media coverage of Obama? Much too gooey. Complimentary overkill. The more he is depicted as perfect, the tougher it will be when his frailties - and we all have them - are exposed.

Calling about the school names: I think Gary Moses Middle School would be nice.

Again, we have by way of the Advocate the verbal mis-adventures of Walter Williams. One can't help wonder, our erstwhile and tongue-tied president's similar misadventures being famous, if arch conservatism doesn't result from some mental handicap.
As J.S. Mill noted, "All conservatives aren't stupid, but I have notice that stupid people always seem to be conservatives."
Neither, of course, does the liberal side of U.S. political comment (Ruben Navarette and his weird reasonings, syllogisms, and analogies, for instance) represent any kind of ideal for our children. The list of liberal loon solecism, malaprops, and more is far too voluminous for space like this.
But, "The reason why your college professor or minister . . . is because they are sly . . ." Good grief! -How does anyone take seriously a supposed college professor and columnist who mangles the language like this? Does his fractured English betray the muddiness of his thought, or is it the other way around?
Nothing speaks more loudly of or to the "dumbed-down" state in which we are found than the fact that our news and information media actually publish and listen to these bloviating boobs. Did I say, "good grief?" I hope so.
