The Patti Welder cheerleaders brought home first place Saturday at a regional competition in Houston.

The cheerleaders have four wins for the 2008-09 school year and are preparing for nationals in February in Austin. the team is under the direction of Norma Gutierrez.

Team members include Brittany Podolak, Lisa Salinas, Ramaya Dean, Dakota Austin, Chelsea Soto, Shellby Soto, Kaela Mooney, Bethany Romanowski, Yari Mendez, Michaela Schroeder, Franki Salinas, Brittany Romanowski, Cheyenne Beard, and Brandi Rucker, Kristaline Romanowski and Alyssa Olguin.
