HALLETTSVILLE - Aaron Cavasos and Eric Vasquez combined for 43 points Tuesday to help guide the Faith Academy cougars to an 84-56 victory over the Hallettsville Sacred Heart Indians in a TAPPS District 9-2A boys basketball game.

Cavasos led the way with 22 points and six 3-pointers, while Vasquez added 21 points and four 3-pointers. Joe Garcia added 19 and Trey Hamilton 12 for the Cougars (23-7, 3-1).

Trentin Pilat led Sacred Heart with 16 points.
