CENTRAL

BASTROP

Water lightly stained. Black bass are good on Rat-L-Traps and chartreuse jigs. Crappie are good on minnows over brush piles in 15-20 feet. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait and liver. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLORADO RIVER

(At Colorado Bend State Park) Water clear. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows and slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers, stinkbait, and frozen shrimp in deep holes.

FAYETTE

Water clear; 61 degrees. Black bass are fair on Carolina rigged soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps. Channel and blue catfish are slow.

LBJ

Water stained; 60 degrees; 0.12 feet low. Black bass are good on pumpkin JDC drop shot worms, PBJ colored Snag Proof jigs, and green pumpkin tubes on docks and seawalls. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair to good on silver Pirk Minnows and Spoiler Shads in the channel around the power plant. Crappie are fair on minnows in brush piles under heated docks. Channel catfish are fair on minnows and worms. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

SOMERVILLE

Water fairly clear; 3.01 feet low. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and green and black tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

SOUTH

AMISTAD

Water clear; 58 degrees; 1.66 feet high. Black bass are good on drop shots, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and Carolina rigged soft plastics. Striped bass are fair on slabs, crankbaits, and jerkbaits. White bass are good on slabs and shallow running crankbaits. Catfish are fair on cheesebait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers in 60-100 feet. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

BRAUNIG

Water stained; 62 degrees. Black bass are good on crankbaits and dark soft plastic worms in the reeds and near the jetty and dam. Striped bass are excellent on liver and shad at Dead Tree Point and near the pier, and down rigging silver and gold spoons and marble spinners near the dam. Redfish are slow.

CALAVERAS

Water stained; 62 degrees. Black bass are good on dark soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits around reed beds. Striped bass are good on spoons and jigs. Redfish are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on liver, shrimp, and cheesebait.

CHOKE CANYON

Water clear; 62 degrees; 5.42 feet low. Black bass are good on heavy jigs and large soft plastic lizards in the grass, and fair on crankbaits. White bass are fair on minnows upriver. Crappie are slow but some large ones caught on minnows. Drum are fair on live worms. Channel and blue catfish are good on punchbait in 2-7 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLETO CREEK

Water clear; 77 degrees (84 degrees at discharge); 3.57 feet low. Black bass to 6 pounds are fair on topwaters in 3-8 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish to 4 pounds are fair on trotlines baited with liver and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish to 8 pounds are fair on trotlines baited with cut perch.

FALCON

Water clear; 62 degrees. Black bass are good on spinnerbaits. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and cut bait. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not. SOUTHEAST
