Austin Elsik turned a hat trick tuesday night with three goals to help lead the Memorial Vipers to a 6-0 win over the Bay City Blackcats in a non-district noys soccer match.

Luke Tibbits, Jordan Sewalt and Mauricio added the other three goals.

Tibbitts also had three assists, while Elsik and clay Pavlicek also had assists in the contest for the Vipers (2-5).

The Vipers will open district play Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium against Corpus Christi Carroll.

Lady Vipers win 4-0

SAN MARCOS - Four different players scored goals Monday night as the Memorial Lady Vipers snapped a three-game losing streak with a 4-0 win over San Marcos in a girls soccer matchup.

Tiffany Sublett, Jessica Mickey, Jazlyn Payne and Taylor Blackman all scored goals for the Lady Vipers, who improved to 5-3 on the season. Sublett and Blackman added assists, along with Tina Mentelongo.
