The Hostess Club was entertained in a most royal fashion yesterday by Mrs. F.E. Huck. There were five tables of players present, Mrs. Huck having invited a number of friends outside of the club to partake of her hospitality. Of these, Mrs. E.M. Shaw was the lucky winner of the guest prize, with pearls, while Mrs. A.M. McFaddin was the captor of the club prize, a hand-painted rare plate in poppy designs, and Mrs. Thomas J. Sterne was given the consolation prize, a unique pitcher. Mrs Huck served her guests with a two-course luncheon consisting of quail on toast with mushroom sauce, olives, wafers, chipped potatoes and wine, followed by angelwhip with whipped cream.
