Bay City Swim team makes a splash at Brazoswood Invitational

The Bay City High School swim team competed at the Brazoswood Invitational Swim meet and had a strong showing against 25 4A and 5A swim teams on Friday, Jan. 9 and Saturday, Jan. 10. The Blackcats 200-yard freestyle relay team placed third and fifth in the 400-yard freestyle relay at the meet. Team members were Blake Davis, Tyler Attaway, Isaac Findley and Zachary Hulbert. The Ladycats 400-yard freestyle relay team also brought home a bronze medal with a winning time of 4:04.55. Team members were Haley Skinner, Regan Law, Kaitlin Brangan and Danielle Wolfe. The Ladycats also placed 10th in the 200-yard medley relay with team members Regan Law, Kathryn Bricker, Danielle Wolfe and Paige Green. Top Ladycat individual were Regan law who placed seventh in the 200-yard freestyle, teammate Danielle Wolfe placed nineth. Regan also placed 10th in the 100-yard backstroke and Wolfe placed eighth in the 100-yard freestyle. Kaitlin Brangan placed seventh in the 50-yard freestyle and 12th in the 100-yard freestyle. Top individual Blackcats at the meet were Tyler Attaway with a seventh place finish in the 200-yard freestyle and eighth in the 100-yard freestyle. Blake Davis finished nineth in the 100-yard backstroke and Zachary Hulbert placed 13th in the 100-yard breaststroke and 12th in the 200-yard individual medley. Isaac Findley finished 10th in the 50-yard freestyle. The Bay City Swim team head coach is Barbara Sherman.
