Hillary Drozd has been named to the dean's list for academic excellence at The Victoria College for the 2008 Fall semester with a 3.71 GPA. Hillary is a 2008 graduate of Memorial High School and is pursuing a degree in nursing. She is the daughter of Ricky and Sandy Drozd and Rhonda and Greg Goodner. She is the granddaughter of Esther Drozd of Victoria and the late Richard Drozd, and Gilbert and Martha Breaux of Welsh, La. She is also the granddaughter of Don and Frances Beckham of Victoria and the great-granddaughter of the late Melva "Granny" Bluhm.

Breanna S. Barnes, a sophomore at Sam Houston State Unirversity, has made the dean's List with a 3.8 GPA, where she is majoring in political science. She is the daughter of Kyuana Barnes and granddaughter of Patricia Barns, both of Victoria.

Zach Drozd has been named to the dean's honor list for the 2008 fall semester at Texas State Technical College in Waco with a 3.8 GPA. He is a 2006 graduate of Memorial High School. He is the son of Ricky and Sandy Drozd, and Rhonda and Greg Goodner. He is the grandson of Esther Drozd of Victoria and the late Richard Drozd, and Gilbert and Martha Breaux of Welsh, La. He is also the grandson of Don and Frances Beckham of Victoria and great-grandson of the late Melva "Granny" Bluhm.

Correction

Zach Drozd, who earned a 3.8 grade point average, graduated in December with an Associate of Applied Science degree in instrumentation from Texas State Technical College in Waco. His field of study was not included in a photo caption on Page E2 on Wednesday, Jan. 14.

Travis Aaron Hempel has made the dean's list with a 3.8 GPA. He is attending Texas A&M University-Kingsville, studying mechanical engineering. He is the son of Donnie and Lisa Hempel and the grandson of Alfred and Joy Hempel and Jerry and Edith Buzek, all of Victoria.
