PEARL CITY - The Almost Patsy Cline Band will provide the dance music Saturday at Turner Hall, state Highway 111 West, 6 ½ miles west of Yoakum.

Doors open at 7 p.m. with the dance starting at 8 p.m.

The Almost Patsy Cline Band is made up of versatile musicians who are also accomplished vocalists. All perform solos or duets during their performances. Their song list includes old western standards, as well as current hits. They have several CDs out and are planning to release another this year.

They perform statewide, nationally and are regulars at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and Night in Old Fredericksburg. They have been added to the Tour Roster of the Texas Commission on the Arts that lists them with groups such as Asleep at the Wheel. Only 105 artists are on this list.

This group has opened for and performed with a number of Nashville recording stars, most notably and recently, Ray Price.

This is a public dance, sponsored by the Modern Dance Club No. 90. Admission is $8 per person. For more information, call Rose Mary Havlik at 361-293-2908.
