Blake Schlueter left a lasting impression with his performance during his senior season at TCU.
The Ganado graduate has been selected to the first team of Texas Football magazine's All-Texas College Team for the second season in a row.
The team will be featured in the winter edition of the magazine, which is scheduled to be on newsstands Thursday.
The 6-foot-3, 272-pound Schlueter was a three-time All-Mountain West Conference selection at center for the Horned Frogs. He holds the school record with a squat of 870 pounds.
Schlueter has also been selected to play in the Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Challenge in El Paso on Jan. 31.
Cuero running back Trent Jackson was named the Class Act of 2012, representing the top freshman player in the state.
Jackson broke Robert Strait's school records for rushing yards (1,436) and rushing touchdowns (21) in a season.
Industrial and Ganado were named the Comeback Team of the Year in Class 2A and 1A, respectively. Industrial advanced to the Class 2A, Division II regional playoffs and Ganado advanced to the Class 1A, Division II semifinals.
Cuero quarterback Tyler Arndt and Refugio lineman Dylan Klare were listed among the magazine's potential coverboys for Class 3A and 2A, respectively, next season.
Arndt was among the Region IV players of the year in Class 3A and Klare and Industrial's Ryan Richter were chosen in Class 2A.
Calhoun finished No. 24 in the magazine's final Class 4A poll, Cuero was No. 8 in the 3A poll, Refugio was No. 13, Industrial was No. 22 and East Bernard was No. 24 in the Class 2A poll, and Ganado was No. 10 and Shiner was No. 15 in the Class 1A poll.

Congratulations to Blake and Ganado....we are so proud! Blake is undersized for the NFL but he is very athletic for an OL, obviously really strong, and has the heart of a lion...it'll be interesting to see if he gets drafted or signed as a FA and makes an NFL roster....I believe he can!
