MOULTON - Taylor Dees' grand champion steer sold for $3,800 during the annual Moulton Jr. Livestock Show auction.

The auction brought in $56,785 for the local students.

Buyers of the steer included Houston Munson; Francis and Allyne Fisbeck; Paul Newton; Larry and Loretta Janak; Leske Oil Co. of Cuero; Dennis and Lorene Fishbeck; Charles and Amy Greive; Accurate Detection Canines; Flatonia Vet Clinic; Lone Star Bank; Bartos Poultry; Joe Sullivan; William Dees; Robert Nieto; Sheriff Micah Harmon; Bastrop Scale; and Gregg Raymond.

The grand champion hog shown by Nathan Beyer sold for $3,200. Buyers included Houston Munson; Bill Caraway, attorney; Richter Water Well Service of Flatonia; Woody and Sheila Boyle; Community Bank of Moulton; Loth Homes; Patek's Grocery; Moulton Knights of Columbus No. 3244; Bastrop Scale; Lone Star Bank; Moulton Products; Shady Oak Nursing Home & Rehab; Raabe Dozer & Fencing; Scott Parker; Fayette County Justice of the Peace Precinct 1; Wash & Roll Detail Car Washing.

Skyler Bartek's grand champion lamb sold for $2,785 to Joe Sullivan; Dorothy and Paul Okruhlik/Truly Unique; Gary and Patricia Kelly; Bill Caraway, attorney; Community Bank of Moulton; Patek's Grocery; Bastrop Scale; Moulton Products; J Bar B; Raabe Dozier & Fencing; and Bradley and Shannon Baker.

The show's other grand champion, the pen of broilers exhibited by Casie Zimmerman, sold for $2,220. Buyers include Bill Caraway, attorney; Gonzales Livestock Market; Leeward Anders & Sons of LaGrange; H&C Construction of Shiner; Community Bank of Moulton; Tyson Foods of Gonzales; Moulton Products; Migl Feed & Grain; and Lone Star Bank.

The reserve champion steer shown by Kalla Gaertner sold for $2,800. Buyers included James and Karen Thomas; Francis and Allyne Fisbeck; Prosperity Bank of Flatonia; Dr. Forrest Kroschel; IMCO; First National Bank of Shiner; Community Bank of Moulton; David Urban Bookkeeping; Cal-Maine Foods; Farmers Ag Supply; Migl Feed & Grain; Sheriff Micah C. and Mary Harmon; Lone Star Bank; Robert and Stephanie Fojtik; Bohuslav Trucking; Rudolph's of Yoakum; and H&C Construction of Shiner.

Hannah Perez's reserve champion hog sold for $2,220 to Moulton Propane; Janak/Henke Pig Farm; Kelly Mudd Equipment; Flatonia Livestock; Migl Feed & Grain; Jeff and Tara Trlicek; Perez Painting.; Sherwin-Williams; Gregg Raymond; Prototype Machine of Flatonia; Amy and Billy Gerke/Foreverlast; and Hallettsville Livestock.

The reserve champion lamb shown by Julie Bartek sold for $2,200 to Olle Pharmacy, Bill Caraway, attorney; Joe Sullivan; Buddy and Jean Denson; David Urban Bookkeeping; Rehmet House Bed & Breakfast; Accurate Detection Canines; Flatonia Vet Clinic; Bastrop Scale; J Bar B; Patek's Grocery; Alley Barbecue; Dale Janak; Preferred Plastics/Paul Panus of Shiner; and Superintendent Michael Novotny.
