Faith Academy began the third quarter Friday with a 24-2 scoring run as the Cougars ran away from the Shiner St. Paul Cardinals 88-46 in a TAPPS District 9-2A boys basketball game.

The Cougars (24-7, 4-1) lead 41-31 at halftime, but outscored the Cardinals 47-15 in the second half.

Four Cougars scored in double figures as Joe Garcia led the way with 20 points, while Aaron Cavasos added 15, Trey Hamilton 13 and Eric Vasquez 12.
