St. Joseph grad picks up three silver medals

SAN ANTONIO - St. Joseph graduate Jessie Carrier claimed three silver medals and one bronze for Southwestern University at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational held Friday and Saturday.

Carrier, a senior at Southwestern, placed second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.20 seconds as well as the 100 freestyle (55.77).

She then swam the fourth leg on Southwestern's 200 medley relay to pick up her third silver.

She claimed bronze in the 200-free relay after swimming the final leg for the Pirates.

She also finished fourth in the 400-free relay and ninth in the 400-medley relay and the 200 freestyle.
