For many, watching a PGA Tour event on TV can be boring. But there are ways to make those events a lot more interesting, especially if you are one of those that has to pick up the newspaper Friday through Saturday to check out the scores.

Grab your computer and get a little more personally involved with the tour events by playing one or more of the many fantasy golf games that can be found on the Internet.

There are a number of fantasy sites, many of them free, which will give that little extra incentive to stay more in tune with the PGA Tour.

Just search out fantasy golf and start strolling through the list to find the one or ones that are perfect for you.

As a fantasy sports junkie, I'm already involved in a couple of fantasy golf games. and even though the tour is in its fourth week, it's still not too late to get started.

Yahoo has joined forces with the PGA Tour this year in an effort to improve its game.

The game hasn't changed all that much and is a pretty simple game for the first-times.

The game's format gas golfers broken down in three groups and you are able to choose your team each week from the different groups for that week's tournament. However, you are only allowed to start a golf in 10 tournaments.

Your are allowed to select eight golfers each week from three different categories. Four of those golfers - one from group A, two from group B and one from group C - are active each day.

Golfers can be changed each day, so if one of your players bombs in the opening round or fails to make the cut, your week isn't totally ruined, provided they haven't all bombed.

Scoring is bases on a maximum of 20 points in each round of the tournament. The golfer with the lowest score is a round receives 20 points. Others receive two fewer points for every stroke they finish behind the leader.

The other game I'm involved in can be found on Stracka.com and takes a little more strategy even though it is still easy to play.

The format is to pick a foursome of PGA Tour players each week.

You earn fantasy dollars based on your players earnings in each event and the person that scores the most fantasy dollars wins weekly prizes and possibly tickets to the 2010 Masters as a final grand prize.

The big key though is you can only use a player four times so you it puts a lot more emphasis on figuring out which players will play best at what venues.

This are the two I'm involved in and there are many more out there so if you and a group of friends what to compete for some bragging rights, jump on the Internet and get rolling.
