LANCASTER, Texas (AP) — A standoff between Dallas County authorities and a man suspected in a San Antonio double murder has ended.

Officials say constables, police and other officers surrounded 31-year-old Alonzo Mendoza at a North Texas gas station Wednesday afternoon. After several hours, authorities used a flash bang and Mendoza was taken into custody in Lancaster.

San Antonio police have obtained an arrest warrant for Mendoza in the death of his wife and another clerk at a Dollar General.

Misty Dawn Espinosa, 25, and Clarence Adolfo Blades, 40, died earlier Wednesday after a gunman shot them at the discount store.

The standoff began when authorities tried to pull over the car Mendoza was driving.
