Ray and Marge Caraway of Victoria and Dan and Teek Miller of Port O'Connor are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Caraway of Sugar Land, to Larry Berte of Houston, son of Ron and Sheryl Berte of Flower Mound.

Rachel is a 1996 graduate of St. Joseph High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria with a bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is currently employed with Fortbend ISD teaching first grade.

Larry is a 1997 graduate of Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School in Beaumont and a 2001 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor degree in Management Information Systems. Larry is currently employed with ConocoPhillips as a pricing analyst.

The couple will be married on October 3, 2009 in Houston.
