Caroline Elizabeth Boyd and Todd Allen Cumbie were married June 6th at University Park United Methodist Church in Dallas. Mr. John Bower and the Rev. Larry Ravert officiated.
A reception at the Tower Club followed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Stewart Boyd of Dallas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Carol J. Riddlesperger and the late Dr. Jim W. Riddlesperger of Denton, Texas, and the late Judge and Mrs. Will C. Boyd and the late Lorraine Boyd.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Allen Cumbie of Bay City. He is the grandson of Mr. Barnie A. Cumbie, Jr. and the late Juanita Cumbie of Hamlin, Texas, and Mrs. Marjorie Hartmann Claybrook of Woodsboro, Texas, and the late Kenneth Claybrook and the late Mr. Frank W. Hartmann, Jr.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Catherine Boyd. Her bridesmaids were Caitlin Clyde, Laura Davis, Catherine Frazier, Anthea Holley, Sarah Michel, Christina Papazis, Jessica Paup and Megan Roberts. Members of the house party were Molly Averitt, Amy Crook, Katie Gaultney, Sarah Jordan, Jessica Lewis and Holli Williams. Serving the groom as best man was the groom’s best friend, Vim Head. His groomsmen were Kyle Cumbie, Derek Cumbie, Daniel Boyd, Geoff Nuss, Shane Miller and Bill Gardner. His ushers were John Kaserman, Josh North and Jon Fagala. Brooke Bowen read the scripture for the ceremony and Ryan O’Donnell was the soloist. The flower girl was Brett Schmidt, the ring bearer was Garrett Graham and the acolyte was Jack Schmidt.
The bride is a graduate of Highland Park High School and received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and History from the University of Texas at Austin. She was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. She works as the Assistant Director of Teen CONTACT for CONTACT Crisis Line in Dallas.
The groom is a graduate of Bay City High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Baylor University and his Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine. He is a surgical resident at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
For their honeymoon, the couple will travel to San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. They reside in Dallas.
