HALLETTSVILLE - Aug. 14 is the deadline to sign up for the Direct and County Cyclical Program, according to a news release from the USDA Farm Service Agency of Lavaca County.

Producers need to call the Farm Service Agency office to make an appointment to sign up. Certifying acreage is required for the program. The acreage reporting deadline was June 15, so a late certifying fee of $46 will be charged.
