The French Simpson Library in Hallettsville will have a book signing event on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. Joy Jones, the former Joy Bonorden, will introduce and sign copies of her latest book, "One Man, Three Taboos."

Joy (Bonorden) Jones was a former educator in the Hallettsville and Victoria school systems. Following her retirement from teaching, she held state and university educational administration positions in Arizona and Mexico.
