Editor, the Advocate:

Victoria finally has a candidate for the Victoria City Council who does not have a personal agenda - someone who can think for herself. That person is Denise Rangel. Rangel will represent the entire community and does not believe in back-door politics. Be assured that with Rangel on the city council, your voice will be heard. I would like to encourage everyone to vote for Rangel in the upcoming election.

    Your answer should not irritate anyone because I think we vote for someone we are comfortable with…Qualified is subjective….You might want someone that is familiar with today’s issues but I might want someone who is a quick learner and might not be bogged down with today’s answer.

    I get your point, but you can substitute pastor, friend, party, or looks for “race” and get the same outcome…IMO

    latinos need to support latinos. Denise will be our voice. Changes mustbe made in the city and Denise will make sure latinos will be represented the way they should be treated.
