Tammy Whatley was recently named the May Employee of the Month at the University of Houston-Victoria. Whatley is the student recruitment coordinator for the UHV School of Nursing. She has worked at the university since September 1996. Whatley received a framed certificate and a $50 gift card.
Members of Brian Buffini's coaching system, Lorene Bothe, Iva Fuzzell, Tracy Graves, Tina Jacob, Carol McLarry, Veronica McCants and Sarah Korczynski , realtors with RE/MAX Land and Homes, recently received advanced training by Buffini, with focus on strategies to win in today's economy and real estate market at his nationwide "Turning Point Retreat" in Dallas.
Valerie Walden was recently hired as the comptroller at the University of Houston-Victoria. Her duties include overseeing the finance department and the monetary operations of the university. She earned her bachelor of business administration with a concentration in accounting from UHV in 2000. She also is a certified public accountant.
