YOAKUM - Challenger Tim McCoy will face incumbent Don Bowe in a runoff Tuesday for a Yoakum City council seat.

McCoy, a 39-year-old accounting manager, received 100 votes during the regular election in May. Bowe, a 74-year-old retiree who has been on the council since June 2000, got 103 votes during the May election. A third candidate, Cindy Martin, received 67.

One hundred two voters went to the polls during the early voting period last week.

Voting will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the city hall conference room, 808 Alternate U.S. Highway 77 S.
