Katie Lynne Brookhouser and Jeffrey Bob Meischen, both of Victoria, eloped to New York City, New York and were married May 22, 2009, at the Ladies' Pavilion at Hernshead in Central Park. Father Bernard Lopez officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kathy Brookhouser of Victoria, and Cindy and Charles Brookhouser Jr. of Van Vleck, and the sister of Clint Johnson of Van Vleck. She is the granddaughter of Shirley Neumann of Victoria and the late Cecil Neumann, Mary Brookhouser and Charles Brookhouser Sr., and Joy Louderback, and John Louderback.
The groom is the son of Yvonne and James Meischen of Victoria and the brother of Charles Meischen of Anchorage, Alaska. He is the grandson of Lois and Bob Harraid of Victoria, Anna and Robert Meischen of Yorktown, and the late Henry Hahn.
Rachel Lees served as witness for the couple.
A wedding dinner was held following the ceremony at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. The couple honeymooned in New York City, New York, and will reside in Houston.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Victoria and a 2008 graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos with a degree in fashion merchandising. She is employed by Stage Stores in Houston as an allocation analyst.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of St. Joseph High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in real estate finance and development. He is employed by Vaughn Construction in Houston as a project engineer.
