WEIMAR - St. Joseph won two games Friday at Veterans Memorial Park Strickland Field to move into the championship of the Weimar tournament.

The Flyers (12-1) opened with a 5-2 win over Shiner before capturing a 9-3 win over Gonzales in a game stopped after six innings because of the tournament time limit.

Andre DelBosque pitched a one-hitter and had 11 strikeouts against Shiner. Kevin Daniels had two hits and Ryan Falcon hit a solo home run.

DelBosque went 3-for-3 with two home runs and four RBI against Gonzales. Jacob Morales had two hits and an RBI and Denver Diefenbach was the winning pitcher for St. Joseph.

The Flyers play Bellville on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. for the tournament title.
