Tera Hopmann and Garrett Claybourn, both of Port Lavaca, were married October 24, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Port Lavaca. Rev. David Bush officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Coward of Port Lavaca, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hopmann of Victoria. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Selby of Port Lavaca, Ms. Mauriece McCown of Seadrift, Ms. Virginia Coward of Lipan, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Hopmann.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Claybourn of Palacios. He is the grandson of Ms. Gay Harrison and the late George Harrison of Palacios, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Claybourn of Palacios, and the late Lucille Claybourn.

Jennifer Hopmann attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Stacy Pustejovsky, Kristi Blinka, Heather Safriat, Nellie Claybourn, and Joyce Morales.

Hayleigh Safriat and Paige Weaver attended as flower girls. Sloan Gaines served as ring bearer.

Brian Jackson served as best man. Groomsmen were Bo Jackson, Michael Gaines, Lee Schuetz, Tom Steinmetz, and Paco Vasquez.

Ushers were Travis Selby and Michael Johnson. Acolytes were Chase and Cole Weaver.

A reception was held following the ceremony at the Bauer Community Center Port Lavaca. Following wedding travel to Playa de Carmen, the couple will reside in Port Lavaca.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Calhoun High School and a 2003 graduate of Victoria College with a Registered Nurse degree. She is employed by Healthforce Home Health in Victoria as a Registered Nurse.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Palacios High School and a graduate of Wharton County College with a degree in Radiological Technology. He is employed by Memorial Medical Center in Port Lavaca as a Radiological Technologist.
