The Victoria Art League will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Victoria Community Art Center, 905 S. Bridge St.
Award-winning Rockport artist Kay Barnebey will give a demonstration on watercolor techniques, according to a news release. On Monday and Wednesday, she will also conduct a workshop, which will include lessons on her transparent layering technique using watercolors.
Barnebey's works demonstrate an extensive knowledge and love of nature, as well as expertise derived from her background in art, gained at the University of Texas, plus a B.A. from Our Lady of the Lake University and an M.S. from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi, according to the news release.
She has painted in watercolor, ink and oils for 30 years and has been an educator in both public and private schools.
She teaches at the Rockport Art Center and Art Center for the Islands in Port Aransas.
