Making drugs not the cause of odor
A complaint of chemical smells in a bathroom brought a fleet of emergency crews to the 3400 block of Catalpa Street on Tuesday. The caller, a relative of the resident, described what sounded like the makings of a meth lab shortly before 10 a.m., Sgt. Eline Moya said. But once officers were given clearance to go inside about two hours later, they found no evidence drugs were being made in the home, Moya said. The smell might have come from cleaning chemicals, she said.

Jernna125,
Got any idea of the damage that can occur if a meth lab blows up? It can have a major impact on a neighborhood and that ought to scare the bejeezus out of you. Anyway, that's why police investigated the complaint.
