The Point Comfort United Methodist Church Bazaar will serve chicken and dumplings on Thursday. An item on Page E5 on Wednesday, Nov. 4, incorrectly reported the day.
Zion Mission Valley Lutheran Church was the first area church to leave the Evangelical Lutheran Churches of America following the August vote on the social statement on human sexuality. It was not the first area church to ever leave the ELCA in the Southwest Texas Synod. A story on Page E1 on Saturday, Oct. 24, was unclear on that point.
