Victoria native has photo display at Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock

Ruben Castillo of Victoria currently has some of his photographic artistry on display at The Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock. The themed display titled, "In the Moment", features the work of Castillo in black and white, color, and altered photography of the music scene in Lubbock and Austin. His student portfolio was selected for inclusion in The Millennial Collection, a joint documentary project between Texas Tech University's School of Art and the Southwest Collection/Special Collections Library. The display will run through Nov. 15.Castillo is a graduate of St. Joseph High School and is the son of Kenneth and Nora Gill and Richard and Kelli Castillo. He is a December graduation candidate at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. The names were listed incorrectly on page B7 of Sunday's Community News section.
